We only put up 17 points on Bama. People talk about this game like it was an offensive masterpiece, but despite all of the yardage we didn't put up many points because the offense stalled a few times after putting together good drives.

Against possibly the best defense this year, they did an incredible job. Of course everyone wishes thet would have scored more points.

You can blame the defense, but they only gave up 21 points which isn't too bad against the #1 team in the country.

They gave up 6 of those in 90 seconds, gave up more than 6 yards a carry. Our defense played worse than our offense in the second half of the season.

If you're counting on your defense to hold every team to 14 points you're bound to be disappointed eventually, and your offense better be able to pick up the slack when disappointment happens.

Shouldn't the reverse be true as well. Make no mistake, our offense bailed us out of a couple games this year.

Florida has a better defense than Alabama, when you adjust for quality of opponent.

The defense got burned, but that's going to happen sometimes. If the offense didn't consistently put them in a position where they HAD to be perfect to win games that would be ideal. Sure, it's going to happen every now and then, but the inability of the offense to put games away when they were there for the taking is a huge issue because no defense is perfect and you can't keep expecting them to be perfect.
