My parent's lab had a big abscess on his neck before. My dad is a vet so he was able to drain it and everything. He never knew exactly what made it do that but he thinks it was a spider bite. That freakin thing got huge!

I have had experience with this and it is likely that a wild oat has gotten in the dogs mouth and has migrated back behind the tongue and will likely work on out and will likely drain out after it works out and will heal oits own. If all.has not cleared up within a week take the dog to vet who will lance it. Good luck to,you!
