1997 - I was in in 2nd grade and remember watching the LSU-UF game and fell in love with them. I knew that's the team I'd pull for ever since.

Special place in heaven for all us that went through those years. You think 10-2 is a disappointment now...back then, it was fantasyland.

1989
Was a freshman at LSU, knew next to nothing about the school prior to then but decided to apply because my parents were being transferred to BR (from Houston).
My college years sucked (football-wise)

1961 LSU 10-7over Ole Miss. I was 6 yrs old, man was it loud.
1961 LSU 10 Ole Miss 7
Ole Miss came into Tiger Stadium ranked #1 in the nation, but an inspired Tiger Team rallied with a second half touchdown by Wendell Harris. Paul Dietzel said that "I hope the boys on the 1958 and 1959 teams forgive me, but this is the greatest win I have ever been associated with."

1958, October 4th. My first game in Tiger Stadium. One of my Aunts couldn't go to the game so I got to use her ticket. I have those two season tickets now.

1968, I guess. Family would gather round the radio to listen to the games. After the game, I'd be on the neutral ground in front of our house reenacting the games. A kid could do that back then at 11pm, lol.
My neighbors had season tickets and one Saturday morning in 73 asked if I would like to go with them to the LSU-Bama game. We both were undefeated and Johnny Musso and the Gumps beat us 21-7. They brought me every week til I graduated HS. Hooked immediately, went to school there and now have kids there!!!

Born in '70, but recall the '77 season and have been following ever since. I remember the 77-0 win over Rice that season....Carlos Carson's 5 catches, all for scores. Got to play in TS in '79 with my BREC pee wee football team prior to a home game for the Tigers.
