A gunsmith will be able to rethread it. I had a problem with mine as well but I caused the problem. I just decided to make mine a 26in barrel from a 28in. Gunsmith said he could either rethread as a 28 or cut off 2 inches and rethread. I not prefer the little bit shorter barrel.

This is my xtremas 13th season. It was a demo gun Simmons got. The first one sold around these parts up here. In those 13 seasons the most days in a season it has misses is 12 because of surgery. It's time for a new one but it's been so good I hate to get one. As far as dirty goes, it's been takin care of but it's not like I take the choke out and oil it every hunt, or very often for that matter. I guess I will have to start though
