ok mizzou

Point out where I am wrong in stating that the Big 12 is the most susceptible to a full-blown collapse of the remaining major conferences.

-It lacks a solid geographical footprint compared to the Big 10, ACC, SEC and PAC 12.
-It is the worst conference academically of the five.
-It has few meaningful rivalries or tradition amongst its members.
-The fewest major television markets of the major conferences.
-Only ten member institutions and no championship game.
-Has lost four members in two years and four others have tried to leave in the past year.

But you can keep living in dream land, WVU fan.

I LOVE this move by the Big Ten! This move allows the conference to move East and get away from being completely Midwestern. I laugh at when people complain about adding schools that arent "worthy" on the field opponents. What do you want...to add Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and LSU? Give me a break! It doesnt matter who you add, somebody still has to suck. I like this move because it is bringing in two teams that now have the chance to raise the level of their program with added revenue. This is good for all involved. I particularly love the Maryland addition. Once the dust settles, Big Ten fans will open up to this. Oh, and i agree, please go EAST/WEST.

EAST:

Ohio St
Penn St
Michigan
Mich St
Maryland
Rutgers
Indiana

WEST:

Nebraska
Wisconsin
Northwestern
Iowa
Minnesota
Illinois
Purdue

I keep bringing this up and you keep brushing it off, but every member of the Big12 has signed its media rights away to the conference for the next 13 years. It takes a vote of, currently, 8 out of 10 members to dissolve the Big12 (rule is at least 70%). That's the only way (that I know of, I could be wrong) to get the media rights back. Name me the 8 teams that are going to vote for that. Iowa State, TCU, OK State, KState? F'n Baylor? There's 5 right there that would do anything possible to keep it together, which includes not voting to dissolve.

All of your points, even if valid, pale in comparison to this simple fact.

And hey, I was jazzed about Texas possibly going to the Pac12. I'm not some "Big12 or Die" fan. But the conference stayed together and took action to make sure it is extremely, extremely difficult to split apart. The ACC does not have the same difficulty.
