Have no fear Goat that's why I posted this embarrassing shot. And the answer is I'd have found her with the dog.

And no way would she have gotten up. Had I not put that one by her ear, she never would have gotten up from the first shot.

Nothing lives with all the arteries in it's stomach cavity open and flowing into the cavity. She was dead in seconds.

Had it been a larger round, it would not have put that much damage on the target. It would have punched a hole through that you could have followed the blood for all the miles she would have traveled before she'd died.

agreed, but you know how far one can meander brain dead already.. Seems like I've spent half my life looking for kids and even older fellers than I's deer, where balistic tips have been used..
ford/chevy, choc/vanilla... i just prefer something that will blow up/expand and penetrate, like the PSP...

What you're saying is you have a super effective gut shooting load, but a square lick on the shoulder knuckle might not end so well.
