Vikings or a college team?

College. I read like the first paragraph. He seemed really butt hurt.

Jesus, that can't be good for recruiting.

Yeah it's waaaay too long for me to read about some kid I'd never heard of. But he should've just transferred instead of writing that novel.

Who knew Randy MOss was so eloquent?

Obviously college.
It would have been a breaking story everywhere with 100 threads flying in if Percy quit.

"tyraid". The word is tirade. That's what I took from his long winded tale of woe.

I just read the whole thing. If hes not exaggerating any part of that, then damn...
That Minnesota coach better hope the University doesn't decide to conduct an investigation.

That would be a disaster if that happened

Can you bullet point some of the accusations? That thing is the definition of tl;dr.

I tried to make it through, but I couldn't.
Don't know what to think.

Trust me, it would take me fricking 30 mins to bullet all the important shite in there.

He's a walk on that hasn't been granted a scholarship.

His main point is that the training staff doesn't give him an MRI to verify a high ankle sprain for a few weeks. He keeps training and it gets worse so he asks for an MRI. The training staff asks why he thinks it's necessary so he calls his parents and asks them to set up an appointment. During the phone call, they relent and give him the MRI soon after.
After his fears of the high ankle sprain and bone bruise are verified, Jerry Kill puts him in a lose-lose situation saying the only reason he isn't better is because he isn't training hard enough.
The rest of it is about how the assistant coaches call him a ****--hmm..this is censored, think of a gay slur-- for having spiritual views (I'm assuming he is a Buddhist or believes in some new-age stuff) and how Kill constantly holds a scholarship over his head, saying he doesn't deserve one because he hasn't been healthy for an entire season, even though he was putting up All Big 10 level numbers as a walk-on before the injury.
He says he really doesn't care about that because it seems like he is from a background where his parents can afford to pay tuition. Mostly he complains about how Kill tries to hold things (like scholarships) over people's heads to scare them.
Also says Kill shouts at players for 15-20 minutes in an extremely public setting, then immediately after, in private, tries to make the player feel better. Says that manipulation tactic won't work and he will transfer to a D-1 school next year since he doesn't have to sit out a year.

I think the main points are:
- Receiver gets hurt
-Tries to play through the pain and re-aggravates it
- Receiver asks to get an MRI, trainers tell him that they know he's got a high ankle sprain but that they don't think it's severe so they weren't going to tell him
- Receiver learns that he has a bone bruise and an ATL tear
- Receiver gets yelled at in practice. Coach says that if the receiver actually cared, he'd be healthy next week
- Coach comes up to him after practice and says that he "loves" him and that he can "fix" problem guys like certain players on the team, including the receiver.
- Coach says that he's just like him.
- In earlier practices, Receiver had been yelled at by the staff and called a gay slur because of his religious beliefs
- Receiver leaves team.
Did I miss anything?

More seriously, he's pissed at Kill for being a pressure to succeed, driven, type A old-fashioned football coach?
FFS. As someone who roots for the Gophers among the Big 10 lot out of casual interest, good riddance. Just about everyone who has played competitive sports has encountered a driven arse of a coach who puts results before people. You don't wanna play, suit yourself, but this is hardly damning.
