RB Devon Thomas (Broken Arrow, OK) - Class of 2014

I know we were interested in him at one point or another...I believe he is from New Orleans but moved after Katrina...nevertheless, he committed to Oklahoma recently but stated he is still heavily interested in LSU and Texas.
I know we are basically pushing hard for LF but I felt this was noteworthy to add to the board.

yes, he is a beast....great guy to have as a "back up" plan

We'll have to get 2, next year. Don't think he's a B/U plan. I think he's in the running, but feel more inclined to take someone like Palelei, unless Thomas really wants it.

More like in addition to Fournette. I understand that Fournette is a great player, but I'm hating this one RB in two classes approach we are taking. If Fournette is still interested in Bama with about the 10 RBs they have in '13 and '14, then I see no reason why we can't go after more right now

We have to take 2 Rb's next year. I don't care how good Fournette is, he won't do us any good with a busted knee and no depth behind him. Who the hell else could sell him what we are selling him? Hell Bama is loading up on RB's, if he leaves us for Bama bc we added 1 RB to The class w him, then he was never coming anyways.

I agree with you on this

Yeah, I got this info from an ESPN insider article. I didn't link because of that but it seems as if he is still feeling the Tigers. Long way until Feb 2014 but I hope we take 2-3 RB's in this class.

so how is this related?

No reason we won't take another RB to pair up with LF next year. This is the year we are going all in for Fournette, next year is pretty inconsequential. Fournette knows he will be the top dog RB in that class.

As of yesterday he committed to OU. It was announced in the Sunday edition of the Oklahoma city newspaper.

Yeah, like hill/blue was for Hilliard. Last I checked, they both started in front of him
I'm extremely excited if LF comes here. But it does not mean he's guaranteed to be the best. He sure seems as though he is!
