florida has to move from that 4th spot for LSU to have any chance at the BCS
Posted on 11/18/12 at 8:00 am to Papa Tigah
And the country is now officially scared shitless of USC upsetting ND

Would suspect Oregon is 6, so we need them, k state and Florida to lose. That would put us at 4.

to get to the bcs, we just need florida to lose. that would put us in the sugar.

Here's another projection:
LINK
1 - Notre Dame
2 - Alabama
3 - Georgia
4 - Florida
5 - Oregon
6 - Kansas St
7 - LSU
LSU dream scenario:
Alabama loses to Auburn
Texas A&M beats Missouri
Kansas State loses to Texas
Oregon loses to Oregon State or Pac-12 (if Stanford loses to UCLA)
Florida loses to Florida State
SEC Championship game is national semifinal
All of that is possible, except for the key element of Auburn over Alabama. That just isn't happening.
Do you believe in miracles?!?

I think we pass KState today and Oregon is 4 or 5, LSU 6.
If for some reason we don't pass KState today, we will pass them when texas beats Kstate.
Regardless, if FSU beats Florida, LSU is a lock to the Sugar Bowl IMO (whether in the Top4 or not).

Usually we have a couple big games at the end of the year to climb. Now we just have Arky with their 8 loses.

We don't need to be an automatic qualifier to get to the BCS....

But Kansas state only drops to 5 after getting their butts kicked by Baylor, that's bullshite
Posted on 11/18/12 at 8:08 am to NOLATIGAH
They will when FSU beats them

Georgia will be bumped out after SEC Championship game loss

Except for the Bama game, this could actually happen. No way Auburn wins.

Correct. The "making the top4" was important when the SECCG winner was not going to the BCSCG (and more for the Fiesta/Rose)...Now that the Sugar is back in play for LSU, we are probably a lock for the Sugar if FSU beats Florida regardless whether we make Top4 or not.

Yeah - I just edited my post a minute ago to add the same thing.

I'm still a little concerned about TA&M

Yeah, Sugar could opt for A&M if we don't finish in Top4, but that is unlikely.
Sugar has a good track record - at least pertaining to SEC teams - of taking the most "deserving" team (think Arky-LSU in 2010).
Let's say LSU finished 5....Sugar is going to take LSU over A&M who both have the same record, LSU is higher ranked, and LSU beat A&M.
If FSU beats Florida, LSU is going Sugar Bowl. Now if Florida wins, the Sugar Bowl bid is theirs and LSU/A&M go to Cotton/CFA/Outback

The one bad thing about yesterday is that it completely killed any Rose Bowl chance.
Posted on 11/18/12 at 8:46 am to Siderophore
Kstate got blown out by a team that was unranked and had a losing record they should fall to 8th. They are dreaming kstate got blown out

Sugar takes a&m over lsu if/when manziel wins the heisman
