I understand there are circumstances that will force some people to leave early; but why bother going to a game if you know you want to "be home at a decent hour"? Why not just stay at home and watch the whole game on TV? Why not tailgate with your buddies then watch it on TV? Do people go to the game just so they can brag to people that they went?

Just re-watching. It was pretty cleared out at the 4 minute mark when MSU took over at their own 10, down 13.
Exactly.
But that truth becomes the allegations that the stadium was empty in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Sometimes, it's moved up to half time.

I disagree with his percentage of empty seats. I was there. Probably 60/40 at best. After this Miss St was was on our goal line with the opportunity to score and go for the onside kick with us up by six. The game was NOT in hand until Lostin's interception. By that time the stadium was half empty or more. I'm no superfan but I believe what I believe. Those of you who want to act indignant or make excuses or sling insults know what you are!

Then why even bother going? You're going to spend $50 for a ticket, more than likely a couple tickets, sit there for 30 min and leave? Talk about being a joke as a "fan."
You're probably one of those that was screaming for a new coach after last season, right?

What's so all fired important that they have to get back to the house 20 minutes faster? I've always wondered about this.
When I decide to leave a game is my business.
I've always wondered about why people think it's their business.

The picture is right there. MSU was at the goal line with 2 minutes left when Loston intercepted. Yes, the stadium was 20% full at that point. But the picture I posted of the 6 minute mark clearly shows that it is 70-75% full. Only the upper decks have started to clear out in earnest. The place was a ghost town at the 4 minute mark. I will grant you that.

You and rouge are confusing your individual right to do what the heck you want to do with a concern by people that Tiger Stadium isn't showing up like it should. You shouldn't take it personally. It's a groupthink issue. We want TS to stay the way it was and keep the rep it had. JMO

Pretty pathetic considering a top 25 SEC West rival was driving to possibly bring the game within 6 points. Don't act like EVERY stadium in the country would have been that empty that early.

These Fans have gone soft now and don't care to support their team through the whole game because it's cold or they don't want to get stuvk in traffic.. booo fricking whoooo.

Selfish assholes like you are the reason our fan base is so shitty

I stayed until the interception. There was maybe 25% of the stadium there at that point. I had someone with me that had been to one other game in the past 10 years. They were shocked at the amount of people leaving.
So we have established that there are 2 problems here. 1) the type of fans that have purchased season tickets has changed. Some of these fans get tickets through their companies or their own means. Either way this problem is not preventable.
2)the traffic cluster after games has caused people to leave early. There is a beat the traffic crowd that seems to get bigger with each pitiful job the hired police do. This is correctable. They need a contra flow. If you park on one side of the stadium then you go that direction and opposite on the other. I believe you could get 75% of the beat the crowd people to stay longer then.

Don't they already do that? I've always parked on the North end of campus because I can get home faster that way. For the Alabama game, I went with a buddy who parks at Burbank and Nicholson. They weren't letting anybody go toward the stadium on Nicholson after the game.

I blame Chavis. If he didn't field such a suffocating defense, our fanbase would have some belief that Miss. State could mount a comeback. Since LSU has one of the best defenses in the country, our fanbase believes not many teams can come back from 13 points with a few minutes left.
IT IS ALL CHAVIS' FAULT!!!!
