we aren't in his final 3
Final 3 or top 3? Cause in the summer (at the Peach Jam) he named Arizona, A&M and Memphis as three of his favorites, but since then he has named an official 5 that he would visit in the spring (LSU being one of them).
Has he cut that list within the last two weeks? I have never been confident in our chances, but it would suck not to even get a visit.

If we don't get Frazier and we end up with attrition, do people think we roll the scholarship to 2014 or try to find someone late?

Frazier's "guide" through the recruiting process says Johnny is his guy and that he definitely wouldn't steer Keith away if he wanted to play @LSU. His brother played sg for JJ around 02-03 and he was recently inducted into the N.Texas U. Hall of Fame. This was all from an interview last week. LSU has a much better chance of signing Frazier than most people think.

Right now it's between LSU, A&M and maybe SMU from what I understand. Frazier has mentioned that he wants to stay close to home, but having a Dallas kid already signed should bode well for us. Johnny will have to make the numbers work. Maybe world wide Geert can foot the bill for a year or two, being a millionaire and all. We really need to be early on Frazier's visit list as well.

I don't have any insight or connections, but from what I read I think he'd be a&m bound if signing day was today. But you get him on campus, get Robert Kirby in the house, and you never know what could go down.

Frazier dropped in to Prime Preps signing ceremomy today to watch Damon Collins, Karviar Shepard and Jordan Mickey sign their letters of intent. I know he's real good friends with Collins, who signed with Howard U. I'm hoping him and Mickey become just as tight over the next few months.

Deng Deng is very raw. He's a project.
Why didn't he sign today?

Think Bubba had a post on why Deng Deng didn't sign today on his new site. Not a member so not sure what was said, could be academics considering he is a JUCO player and also from another country so classes may not be transferable. Also wonder if he was a back up plan thinking we wouldn't land Mickey and Martin and now that we did could be quietly be trying to push him back to next year(he has another year of JUCO eligibility) or not sign him at all?

Keeping that spot open for Frazier?
Deng Deng was not impressive at all vs. BRCC.

From ESPN:
Five underrated commitments
4. Tim Quarterman, G, LSU: Honestly, we were waiting for that one moment for him to break out in July. He didn't quite have the jackpot month, but there's something to this kid, and he may play the point in college.
It's from their National Signing Day Primer. Probably more LSU mentions in that article then during the entire Trent era.

The reports from the BRCC game is what made me think that. Very well be we think there is a player at another position Frazier or someone else who is going to sign who fills a bigger need now that we have signed 3 bigs. My other thought was maybe we decided Deng is a huge project and would rather have 4 years of someone else that the staff feels they can get more from in the end?

Yep. I'm right there with you. I had a hunch Deng was done after the BRCC game.
The interesting guy is Bridgewater. Will be interesting to see if he walks on.

You think he would walk on? I figured he would take the biggest offer he got whether it be a state school or someone desperate for a name player. Dude has had a Terrence Broadway like fall down the rankings.
