I am talking more about deer and hogs. Rabbits and squrriels I can use a simple buck knife.

I use Buck brand knives for everything. Not saying they are the best but they are certainly of good quality. A good Skinning blade with a gut hook would be my suggestion.

I have friends that handle a bunch of deer and hogs and they are buying Cutco knives, seems like a scam to me but they swear by them. Anyone on here any experience with them?

If your just looking for a good gut hook, use a utility knife with a hook blades like used in flooring. You can do several before having to change blades. Everything else just a buck/old timer.
