Who wins the fight between these 2 in their primes?
I dont look at Tysons career as favorably as some others since I dont think the guy ever won a really legit fight against a good opponent.
Im taking Rocky.

You'd be taking the loser

No offense but you can't compare a fighter from that era to a modern HW fighter. Tyson is literally three times his size

One of the biggest knocks on Marciano is that he was small for a heavyweight when compared to more modern heavyweight punchers. Rocky’s physical stats were 5' 10 1/4" and 184-185 pounds in his prime, which is fairly small. His reach was 68” - 4 inches shorter than Floyd Mayweather, for example. Despite his lack of size Marciano was a great pound for pound puncher. He was physically strong with superb tendon strength and he never entered the ring in less than top condition.
Tyson easily.

Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their arse. That's their one, that's their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano.

I didnt realize this. I cant think of a fight that Tyson won however that Marciano wouldnt have won as well.
Rocky had a good size frame. Theres little doubt with modern training he could have put on some pounds of muscle and fought at over 200 lbs.

Rocky may have been able to play mind games with Tyson. But Tyson was an animal in his prime. He would destroy Rocky within three rounds.

Lol Marciano wouldn't be a heavyweight if he fought today, but to answer your question it would be Tyson.

Cus/Rooney era Tyson destroys Marciano. Later years Tyson? Closer, but Mike still wins.

If Marciano made it past round 1 I would be shocked.

Tyson would eat his children

Tough fight.
Tyson would try to destroy him in the early rounds.
If he survives the first 3 or 4 rounds. Then he takes Tyson by decision or knockout in the later rounds.
Tyson wasnt as mentally tough as Rocky. Still...Young Tyson would have tried to end that fight early.

Marciano could take a beating better than most, so it would last longer than many ITT think. That said, it would just prolong the beating that Marciano would take as Tyson beat him to sleep.

This is why I'd bet on Marciano if I were betting money. Good payout of course, but if Tyson doesn't take you early he's in trouble and Marciano would have a decent shot at surviving the first couple of rounds.
The key to beating Tyson was to dodge the uppercuts for the first 90 seconds, then basically treat him like Piston Honda.
