I'm confused as to who's being recruited for what position. I thought Diarse was being recruited as a WR and Jefferson as a S but now I'm seeing that they both could end up on offense? Somebody clarify for me please.

At this point, Diarse will be a WR and Jefferson will be a CB.

I can't see diarse not playing on offense. He's too talented with the ball in his hands not to be a wr...plus we have a surplus of db's. I can see Rickey being a Brandon Taylor type player(start career at corner and eventually become a SS). White is a cb all the way from what I've heard. Has true shutdown ability. Here's how I see it:
Robinson-CB
White-CB
Jefferson-SS
Cutrer-FS
Diarse-WR
Brazil-WR/KR

I can't see Jefferson being an SEC receiver. I saw him play a couple of times now and I don't see what the hype is about with him as a receiver. I definitely think he is a good athlete and can see him possibly playing defense for LSU.

I speak with John and his dad both 1-2 times a week if not more. Both he and his dad have told me on numerous occasions that they still don't know which one it will be. He's just happy to get his time as a Tiger started and then see how it plays out. He said he will bust his arse at either spot in order to get on the field one way or another. A lot of the stuff people put out there( I know this thread is more speculation than anything) is so far off base it's crazy. We are usually at my office when I speak to them or out on the football fields where they both call youth football for me. Either way he will be a big plus regardless of what side of the ball he plays on. Also, I've already started in on him about Hootie. I also have Tijuan Thomas that committed with Stanford and the Sims kid (wr) from Ouachita calling for me. I have to have the highest ranked referee recruiting class in the country.

By chance I happened to spend a few hours with one of the Destrehan coaches a couple of days ago and I'll quote what he said when I asked about Jefferson...

"If LSU thinks he's going to play safety or CB they'll figure out real quick that's not him. He needs to play with the ball in his hands, he's a playmaker."
