Not really. Per LHSAA rules, she didn't have the authority to have him removed from the field.

So basically the greater Shreveport/Boosier area folk are mad at the greater Baton Rouge/Denham Springs area folk for a high school football team not being able to warm up on the field.
Only in Louisiana

He obviously didn't read the thread. He's trying to be the cool guy by talking about how people in Louisiana take HS football too seriously, or some similar bullshite. But if he had actually read the thread he would know that the football game is merely the setting of the story, and what people are talking about is misconduct by a school official and a police officer.

Because the band director gave Tut the ten minutes from 635-645. Technically the time he was asked to leave was his time.
I'm not sure if the Band director has the authority to give the ten minutes to the coach. Technically speaking, no one knows what was actually agreed or not agreed to on paper except those directly involved therefore all of this speculating is just that, speculating. Having said that, here is some more speculation. If the agenda contract read that the band was supposed to perform from 635-645 and the Band Director and the HC agreed to a different agenda does Parkway, being the home school that sets the agenda,(an apparent agreed to agenda), have to abide by the agreement between the HC and Director? I've read on here where Parkway's coach had no problem with it, I have no idea if he did or didn't, even so, does he have the authority to deviate from the agenda? Would it have been the nice thing to do to go ahead and let the Live Oak team use the Band's time? Sure, but IF, and I say IF, the rules(?can't find them anywhere, only a hadbook that is vague) state that the agenda must be followed and it wasn't,then why should Parkway have to be nice? Turnabout is fair play! I'm sure Hahnville will not let Parkway's band use part of their halftime or let the football team use more time to warm-up than what was agreed to.

It's really fricked up that you keep defending Parkway on this.

Not much is being said up here at all about the situation. I'm a Parkway fan and I'm not mad at all. I think the whole thing is foolish IMO.

Where in any of my posts have I said that Parkway is right and Live Oak is wrong? I can tell you, NO WHERE! I have said that reguardless of who is right and who is wrong the HC should have just left the field when asked by the Deputy. He could have filed a complaint with the LHSAA after the game.

This is correct, the visiting teams band always performs after the game in our district. HHS has had it set up this way for ages. If Parkway asks to split the time at half it could be agreed upon, of course after last week I heard that won't happen.

In other words, you think that Parkway was right.

Why would he Leave the field when he was in line with the rules

Do you actually know the rules, I have searched the LHSAA site and couldn't find specific rules for this situation.

I hear Hahnville is going to make Parkway warmup behind the stadium while the Robotics club puts on a display on the field until kickoff.

Still defending the despicable actions of Parkway, I see.

Why do you keep putting words in my mouth! The Live Oak coach might very well be right, he might have a case about the warm-up time.I have no idea as to what really transpired on the field or what agreement was made and neither do you!
