How does this frickstick keep getting these jobs?

That's like asking, why does a Harvard Grad get an internship and then job on Wall Street?

Dude has a great resume. Protege of his dad, mentored by Pete Carroll at USC as OC with one of the most prolific offenses of all time.

He only had 1 year w/ Raiders (Davis - enough said)
1-year at UT - recruited the shite out of that place given the crap circumstances and didn't exactly bomb.

This (USC) is his first real job to properly evaluate him apart from his resume/background.

He wasn't even remotely qualified to get the Raiders job. The Tennessee job, why not. The USC job, maybe.

5-15 record. Enough said.

True. He did deliver their best season in the last 5 years... 7-6!

No, he doesn't.

So was Gary Crowton

Plus he was terrible, left that out.

He went 7-6 after being left a defense coached by Chavis who also returned NFL's Eric Berry and Dan Williams along with a solid crew of LB's. He cheated in recruiting and tried to get the guys to transfer with him.

He does not have a great resume. He obliterated the Tenn program in just one year. He laid waste to them.

No coach was gonna bring that program back in 2-3 yrs w/o cheating their arse off. Dooley, or any coach, was not gonna chance further sanctions because of the light Kiffen put on that program.

Great resume my arse.

His dad is a defensive coach. Lane was a walk-on QB and coached WRs.

I think you mean WR coach for one of the most prolific offenses of all time. Norm Chow's offense set the records, not the BFF offense of Kiffin/Sark.

You say the guy has a great resume, but immediately make excuses for two of the three head coaching jobs he's had. And he's not setting the world on fire at his current one.

His two years at Oakland and Tennessee are part of his resume and background, but it can't be used to evaluate him?
