And the difference it makes?

anytime that you see announced or listed attendance in sports they are counting tickets sold. the Hornets count partial season tickets and business/corporation tickets who buy out several thousand blocks of tickets all year. the businesses buy them to help the team out because the fan base is so bad down here. (just being honest and realistic)
I am at the game right now on my phone and I originally estimated maybe 8k or so in attendance tonight, but it may be closer to the 5-6k area. unfortunately this game has been hard to get into so I have had enough time to take a very good estimate! :(

They must've known what it would be like.

Just something people can talk about.

Philly has more points than there are people there now.

Put Davis and Gordon on the floor it'll be a near sellout every game, get over it.
ETA: not to mention 58 freaking point scored, no shite people aren't going to show up for a game like that, everyone knew it would be bad with the injuries

Tickets sold plus tickets given away that are actually used.

good job! at least educate yourself on the facts though. with the exception of the 2008-09 season when the Hornets were coming off of a 2nd round playoff season before, we had half empty arenas even when CP3 was on the team. Gordon isn't going to sell tickets any better or anywhere close to CP3. the bottom line is that the only way the Hornets are going to put up respectable attendance numbers is -
1. if they are one of the best teams in the league (Louisiana loves front running)
or
2. if the Heat or Lakers are in town
this is a football area and people in south Louisiana are dirt cheap. if its not LSU football or when the Saints are winning, most people aren't interested.

So your insightful knowledge here is that people don't want to show up and watch their team lose repeatedly?

Haha, that's not always the time my good man. They don't have to be one of the best. Just wait til December or Jan. and watch the numbers spike.

no not at all. I am simply pointing out the facts. Louisiana just isn't a basketball state and the only way the Hornets will have consistent good attendance is if they have what I mentioned above. the biggest problem however though is the mentality that most people in Louisiana have towards the Hornets (outside of NOLA). unless they are winning back like they did in 2007-08, no one cares about them and its unfortunate.
