Honestly asking not trying to be negative. Is the team gonna be hungry?

The offense turned the corner last week, it had nothing to do with being hungry.

Mett finally adjusted to SEC defenses

We have a shot at a Sugar bowl bid if we impress people.

Not a chance.... We still have a shot at a BCS bowl, the Capital One bowl and the Cotton Bowl....
C'Mon man...that's crazy talk. No way they give up after that effort.

I don't know if they are gonna mail it in, but, I certainly am concerend that it could happen. They have lost their shot at the National Title and the SEC Title. Is getting to a BCS game really that motivating for the players? I know it's big for the program, but how much does the Capital One Bowl Or Sugar Bowl mean to this kids? These games will provide them with no "championships". My hope is that htey play with pride and passion, finishing this season on a roll, but, they could just as easily take that "nothing left to play for" mentality. This is where good coaching comes in. It will be interesting to see if Coach Miles can get these guys motivated for these final 3 games.

Honestly, I think we start very slow and possibly even trail at the half.

I do think we win, but not that pretty. I'm thinking we win something like 24-13 or 21-14.

Bama will be slow too. I think they actually trail at the half, but end up pulling it out for a 30-17 win or something like that.

If they take this mentality, then we need new players. Champions play with pride and always have pride no matter the record or situation.

If they mail it in, then we might as well accept the fact that this team has become 90s Tennessee in that they mailed it in after losing to UF every year.

It's very natural to be emotionally flat the week after an emotional game. It's just human nature to come down a notch or two after being so high the week before. We'll come out against Miss. St. very flat and will look bad for the first half. Hopefully we'll turn it on after halftime and get the win, but I predict we'll be lethargic. As an example, recall the Towson game, where we clearly didn't want to play, and how ugly we looked.

Do you think that Miles will shut down the offense again?

I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised if what we saw against Bama was the exception and not the norm in terms of play calling.

These 21-14 games where we struggle so mightily just to move the ball are really hard to get excited about.

Nope. Team comes out strong because now they know what they are capable of. Will ring Miss State's bell (pun intended) and win big. Possible Sugar Bowl berth for us available, future of recruits and mentality that carries over to next year.

We win 45-10.

Bama loses 38 - 14 :praying: (can we get a praying emoticon?)

the team, obviously, was gutted in the last two minutes satnite but Miles, staff and the kids should have a handle on what is still at stake. I doubt seriiously that we can match the energy level that was invested against bama but finishing strong will go a long way towards setting the stage for next year. Mett, for the first time all year, seemed really comfortable with his execution and expectations and if we get a solid effort from our front seven....we win. Tiger Pride, on the field and in the stands, will be tested but I doubt we mail it in.

for the love of the game and LSU.
