We told it as a reason Bear died of a heart attack.

I was there! Sat right in front of Alan Risher's parents! Kinda strange in that the Bama visitors tickets we were in were right behind the Bama bench, 50 yard line, but very low rows, able to see the Bear with a scowl on his face for 4 quarters! Remember, this was the Bear' s final season, and he actually died early the next year, I think.

To the subject at hand....that was the day we buried the bone! I remember listening on the radio...one of my only real memories of John Ferguson doing LSU football. Hard fought game...not sure I realized the importance of it until later because of how young I was at the time.
