Any LSU fans want to explain why the clock stopped with 13 seconds to go when Hill was tackled in bounds?????
Little known rule. Any time a ball carrier runs so far East or West that he crosses a time zone, the clock is stopped and changed.
Hill nearly made it to Albuquerque on that play.

Don't believe me? Go look it up, it's almost as obscure as the "LSU tight ends are not allowed to catch touchdowns against Alabama" rule... but not quite.

Most fans definition of holding resembles what their JV coach told them 20 years ago.

I concur with this ^
If holding was called like it was years ago today, every game would damn near be 0 - 0 until overtime. You can't block today's D linemen like your daddy did.

On the scoring drive alone there were 3 penalties not called. Montgomery had beaten the tackle and was about to sack the QB when the tackle stuck his arm out and clothes lined Montgomery. They completed the pass, no call, first down, big play.

The TD play there were 2 holds and both were in sight of the back official. Bama does such a good job of hiding there infractions that I saw it right away. That would have been actions of dismissal had that ref called that.
But the 6 or 7 penalties not called had nothing to do with the outcome. We were just outplayed.

You make it seem like you didn't benefit from any calls.

They hold every other play !

Every other?

It's the worst kept secret in football. Been happening for years.

To be fair, there is holding on almost any play somewhere on the field. Bama just doesn't get calle for it as much.

I know, but we all have some of them. I apologize for that fricking idiot above me. That wasn't cool. I talk shite on here sometimes, but wishing death on someone is not in my repertoire.

Unless the arm is extended and the hand is holding the jersey holding will not be called.
Bama is the best because they have a line coach who teaches technique that doesn't cross the line set by the refs.

They do a great job of disguising their hold. Best in the biz.

Pointing out the obvious isn't crying. Everyone knows Bama is the king at holding. Only a certified idiot would believe they only held once the other night.

As I have stated many times, the best team won. The best team always finds a way to pull it out. Bama's holding prowess was a well known fact long before Sat night.

I saw a couple Bama holds that weren't called. You know what? THAT IS FOOTBALL. That's part of the game and if you hold and don't get caught you just made a helluva play.

Period.
