LSU and USCe will have a home and home and they will rotate off your schedule and will be replaced by another Eastern division team, could be Vandy, UK or UGA. USCe just rotated off UA's schedule (remember Stephen Garcias game of his life that beat bama? Probably the only game he was sober in) and was replaced by Missouri.

Yeah. Ours was replaced with @UGA, while UGA was removed from Bama's and replaced with Kentucky.

How does that happen?

You were great up until the part where you had no idea how the schedule was rigged in Bama's favor for next year.

Look, I'm all for bashing Miles

I'm never for "bashing" the very most successful HC LSU has ever had. It's a college/SEC football mentally challenged thing to do. imo

That doesn't mean I agree with all his decisions, it just means that end of the day I can look at his career at LSU, past and present, and say..."that guy gave/is giving me the best period of LSU football success that I have ever known".

I'm very proud of what LSU football has become under LM and it's pretty sweet to finally have LSU seen as a Top 5 program nationally...which is something I've never seen before in my lifetime as an LSU fan.

As to Nick, great college coach. I'm just happy that when he decided LSU football wasn't good enough for him anymore, we were able to find one who would turn out, to this point in time, to be even more successful at LSU than Nick.

I don't really count the game from Saban's first year (at Bama obviously). He wasn't remotely playing with his team. Bama was coming off of some rough seasons.

Then we can't count 2008 either, when Miles was dealing with a QB issue due to the RP crap....

Deal?

Look I am happy where we are but RP was Miles's guy. There isn't much we could do better than Miles right now so I say stick to him. Saban is better than Miles. That is just a fact.

Les has had his share of good fortune. Enough luck to last 10 lifetimes. A 2 loss national championship team. Also Bama lost 1 game last year not 2 like we have this year.

Yep...and we lost 0 regular season games last year, but we were rewarded with having to beat a top 10 UGA team in the SECCG while Bama stayed home and waited.

Miles is a great coach though, so the comparisons are kind of silly. Who else do you really want to get?

Too many LSU fans don't get this. Every little adversity and they want to fire him and wait for top notch coaches to just start lining up to interview.

Mulligan

You do realize if ND lost to Pitt and Oregon lost to USC that all that was needed was a no chance in hell loss for Kansas st and it would be Mulligan bowl part doh?

If LSU had beat Bama, and the other two games as I predicted, BCS would look like this

1. Kansas St
2. LSU
3. Bama
4. Oregon
5. Georgia

Bama would have A&M, W Carolina and Auburn. They probably win out. LSU has Moo St, Ole Piss and Arky. They probably win out and face UGA again. If they won that and Kansas St. dropped a game, it would be Bama vs Oregon on who had the better loss. I am thinking the media would have wanted to see a repeat again in Miami. Only difference is Oregon has a ship game for the pac 12 where big 12 did not.

Bama, last year, and LSU in 07 both benefitted from other's losses. The difference is LSU got moved in the polls largely because they won the SECCG. Bama got in because their loss was a better loss than Ok State. Much more of a gift than LSU 07 who earned the right by winning the conference.

Look beyond this head-to-head series. Nick Saban helped to transform LSU into a Championship caliber program. He won as many SEC and BCS titles as Les Miles in less time, all while taking LSU to the next level. Les Miles has done a good job of maintaining the program, but he only has one undefeated regular season. Saban has 2 going on 3 undefeated regular seasons since he's been at Alabama. Saban has also added a unanimous SEC and BCS Championship to his resume, and a "mulligan" BCS Championship. Even without the "mulligan", he still has greater results than Les Miles. LSU is great against Alabama, but they've dropped games against several other teams, and for what reason? What is Les Miles' excuse for 2008 and 2009?

What was Saban's excuse for 2010, losing to ULM in 2007, and his terrible losses at LSU once LSU was established?

Face it, miles would never lose to ULM or UAB. Saban has.

As I said prior, there are games that Saban would have lost that Miles has won had Saban stayed at LSU...and vice versa.

Looks like "the greatest Coach in modern day CFB" is going to have to beg for a second chance, for the second straight year, to prove he's the "greatest coach in modern day CFB".

Give Saban and his program a real SEC schedule this year, complete with having to play UF, USCe, or UGA during the regular season (or two of those teams) and he'd have two losses as well.

Time to beg again Nicky. Beg beg beg...
