There are a lot of people talking about the lights coming on for Met last night, which he obviously played his heart out. However, I think the biggest contributing factor that nobody is talking about is that the receivers decide to start catching the ball for a change.

I also think he was a lot closer to getting there than most people were giving him credit for before the game. He didn't make many if any bad decisions with the ball against aTm, he just wasn't very accurate. It was clear to me that it was starting to slow down for him a little bit two weeks ago, and he always had the physical tools. It was wonderful to see it come together for him last night, and I hope he keeps it up for the rest of his career.

3 receivers sets, not throwing only on obvious passing downs when defense has 5 or 6 DBs against 2 receivers, drag routes out of play action. This had as much as anything to do with his "sudden" success. Coaches put the kid in a position to succeed. And yes, receivers stepped up. Also, Bama loves to play tight zones and man coverage which, coupled with above, helped as well.
