I image you guys are looking for some redemption this weekend against Alabama. Should be a great game and an electric night crowd.
I’m traveling in for my first game at Death Valley and am fired up. I’ve got 4 guys making the trip total - 1 LSU fan, 1 Bama, 2 Neutral guys. We love the game day atmosphere and the different traditions at every school.
Can you share with me a few of the top game day traditions/events/stuff to do - don't want to miss?
Anything we shouldn’t miss the night before?
We are looking at showing up around 10:00ish on Sat and have a parking pass at Alex Box East @ Gourrier Ave / Nicholson Drive.
Finally, is it true that the band won’t play Neck because CBS is airing the game? Or, do they still play it at commercial breaks?
Appreciate the feedback.

Band coming down the hill, checking out Mike the Tiger. Hanging out around the PMAC is generally a good idea. A lot of things going on.

What's more implant is what NOT to do.
Don't have too much bourbon.

10. Tour the State Capital and go to the observation deck.
9. Hit up the bars downtown instead of going to Tigerland.
8. Eat Curbside. If you can track down the little burger truck, get some. Make sure you get one with pork belly preserves on it.
7. Grab a meal and watch a band at Chelsea's under the overpass.
6. Walk around LSU tailgates and gracefully take the Tigerbaiting. If you show some class, you WILL be offered free food and beer and probably be set up with a hot coed.
5. Watch the Band go down the hill 2 hours before the game. It's a great tradition not to be missed on your first trip.
4. Watch LSU's pregame Solute, it's the best pregame tradition in the SEC by a mile.
3. Visit Mike the Tiger.
2. hit up an OTGT and meet some of your fellow maniacs in person.
1. Stay beyond the end of the game (win or lose) and listen to the Tiger Band play "Let Us Break Bread Together" and sing (yes sing) the alma mater. It's a truly special moment that most football fans miss.

GameDay was considering broadcasting from the LSU Parade Grounds. Should be news on that soon.
Bring a cooler full and a tent. If game goes to the end you wont get out of that lot for 2hrs.
