I still think that TM was more exciting.
You axed the question. TM was good, and fun to watch, but basically was around for one season(I know, he showed signs of things to come as a frosh.)
Studs like Casanova are truly once in a lifetime athletes/individuals.

Eddie Kennison was pretty exciting. Todd Kinchen too.

I didn't start the thread. I also can't comment on Casanova because I never got to see him play.
ETA: Strong arguments can be made for all players in this thread, but IMO Tyrann was the most exciting.

Sorry, didn't go back that far. Casanova is still the correct answer.

I've been watching & listening to LSU for 50 years and I'd go with Casanova & Faulk.

The Dalton / James Gang was fun to watch as well.
Our season tickets were beside a starting QB's family. His girlfriend was exciting to watch as a kid...

Few could turn a game upside down the way mathieu could. However, from a play to play perspective Reed, Faulk, and Dorsey (before Auburn) were explosive players in recent memory who impacted a game on every down.
In my opinion they were at least as exciting to watch.

TM was on pace to becoming the greatest player ever to wear an LSU uniform. The amount of turnovers he forced in two years along with his returns in big games were unbelievable. He probably would have won the Heisman last season had he not been suspended for a game. Say what you want, but he was truly special.

Tommy Cassanova played at LSU from 1969-1971. Technically, he last played 41 years ago.
Otherwise, TC would be the obvious shhoice.

You should use this as an opportunity to tell your son that TM has a drug problem and that he may have allowed drugs to ruin his life or at least he has made his path to success much more difficult. Don't sugar coat it, tell your son the truth.
Tell him the truth about the drug war instead. This is an opportunity to teach him the dangers of a big paternalistic intrusive government.

Yeah, well he was asking about the disappointment of his 9 year old, so one more year should be indiscernible to the boy.
