How much do we lean on Brees?

some mind numbing stats from a Denver post article-
To say the Saints only throw the ball on third down, no matter the situation, is to speak the truth. Even in situations as short as third-and-2, they have thrown 87.5 percent of the time. And on third-and-3, they pass 85.7 percent of the time.
Beyond third-and-3, however, they throw every single time. As in no exceptions.
So far, in six games, they have run 55 plays on third-and-4 or longer — everywhere from third-and-4 to third-and-26 — and thrown the ball on all 55 of those plays. That total doesn't include penalty snaps, but there isn't a run to be found anywhere in there.
Not one.
The Saints have thrown eight times on third-and-4, seven times on third-and-5 and 11 times on third-and-6. There are plenty of offenses that would see the kind of defensive formations the Saints routinely see with Brees behind center, with defensive backs all over the field, that would take a shot at running the ball from time to time, to beat the defensive speed on the field with power.
The Saints have not . They have simply chosen to do on third down what they have done with so many other things this season — lean on Brees and hope he has the strength to pull them where they want to go.

What is our 3rd down conversion percent?
Probably pretty damn good.
The article seems to ignore that.

For $20 mill a year, you better believe is be leaning on him until he breaks.

Saints do use him/lean on him and for good reason. Problem with that is when Drew is done with surgically slicing up a secondary, it's done very quickly. Allows the D to come on the field and get gashed. Just really wish we had the ability to, or were more of a threat to, grind some drives out more consistently.

Lean on Brees
When you're not strong
He'll be your friend
He'll help you carry on...

Wow.
Are we I think in the top 5 for 3rd down conversions?

We rely on him just as much as other teams and their fanbases do on other elite QBs.
