I know I'm over thinking this shite, cause I'm trying to kill a duck! I just bought some new pro grade decoys. I am putting the strings on them. My question is do you guys tie the string to the front of all your decoys or tie some in the back? I have a few sleeper and feeder decoys, should I tie them in any particular place?

I usually mix it up, but bought some high dollar dekes and wonder if it matters

4/5 out of every dozen I'll drill a hole and tie them from the back. Only time you'll really see a large group of ducks all facing the same direction is when they're spooked

We tie all of ours in the front but I don't really think something that small matters. If the ducks want where you're at they don't care where the decoy weights are tied on to.

Go buy a mallard machine. Nothing worse than hunting on a calm day with no movement in the decoys.

Also, fix up a jerk string.
