last year at work, i got a slap on the wrist for streaming a saints game on my computer because i exceeded maximum bandwith that i'm allowed to use..

quick question: does watching music videos on youtube at the lowest quality setting use up a lot of bandwith?? a guy at work told me that it didn't and that i should be ok, but i think he's full of shite

Well what's the rule at your work?

We're not allowed to do any streaming. So if that's the case you tube would exceed it no matter how poor the quality

It will use a hell of a lot more than just browsing websites, which is probably all you're supposed to be doing. While the difference between an HD video and a low quality video will probably be on the order of 10-20 times the bandwidth, I would still just hold off on the music videos till I was off the clock.
