Do i pay Arkansas state income tax? Anything else I should be looking at as far as being employed in one state, yet living in another. I am guessing my group insurance will not cross state lines either.? thanks

You pay state income taxes for the state you reside in. Period.
By group insurance are you talking about health insurance? If you have to go to a doctor or hospital you are covered under the terms of your insurance policy.

Both states are going to want it and depending on the arrangement(s) it could be a little hairy. For instance, pro athletes pay income taxes all over the country, depending on where they play games. Also, if you're set up a per diem policy where a big chunk is federal tax free, it can get a lot more complicated quickly if you start trying to fight Arkansas on their claim.

You pay state tax where you work. If your home state has income tax they will give you a credit. if your home state does not, you still pay where you work. You only can pay it once thank god lol.

Arkansas will tax you as a non-resident on your income from Arkansas sources. Tennessee will tax you as a resident on your income from all sources, except Tennessee does not have an individual income tax. In order to avoid double taxation, Tennessee would give you a credit for the taxes paid to Arkansas. But since Tennessee does not have an income tax, there is no credit.
The end result is that you will have to pay Arkansas income tax on the wages you earn from working in Arkansas. Your employer will have to withhold the Arkansas income tax from your wages whether you like it or not.
