I could easily see us winning it this year and next.
really, a Bama fans thinks Bama will win every NC, shocking

: Oh, and Belue/Fulton should both be back.
one other thing you forgot is you will lose 3 starters on the OL

Which is why I don't count dominance by MNCs. Whether it's the polls or the crazy BCS...luck and sway factor into it.
i agree with that

At least titles started being won the field instead of awarded in 92 (not counting the B1G and Pac 12 though).

It's always awarded. Getting into the BCS title game is awarded by pollsters. Once you're in...you can look like crap but as long as you win...you are awarded the trophy. The BCS title game participants are awarded their place in the game...once in, the winner is assured the coaches poll vote. The winner of the BCS title game is "awarded" the coaches vote...the AP awards their vote.
Don't kid yourself that everyone is "winning it on the field" like some playoff.

One of the best ever. It's a lot , and I mean a lot harder to stay elite now rather than even 25-30 years ago. Teams like Bama used have a strong selling point in that they were usually on tv more than other SEC teams. Not now. Pretty much every SEC team is on tv. Saban's run since 08 is prob top 3-4 runs ever. Oklahoma back in the day ( that crazy win streak, I think like 43 games), Nebraska early to mid 90's and then Bama's recent run.

No dynasty will ever match Nebraska. That team was stupid good and just beat the hell out of people.

There's a system in place that everyone agreed to play under, so no, it's not awarded.

How does this system determine who plays in the BCS CG? Oh, that's right its based on a formula 2/3 of which are polls, which rank teams, that's pretty much the definition of subjective. So yes its awarded. And the standards change. Some times in bases on SOS others its based on "eyeball tests".

Can we tap the brakes a little on Nebraska? The Big 8/12 wasn't very good outside of them in that era.
OU and Texas were pretty much dormant those years. And when they finally got good the huskers got mad and eventually left the conference.
It was still a great run... Just sayin those teams wouldn't dominate the SEC or today's Big 12 like that.

Crazy how that 2010 team lost 3 games.

Saban has found a way to combine his incredible recruiting skills with good position coaches

You mean like this?
You mention those years but forget the years Bama was screwed. Like in 1966 when they started the season ranked #1, won every game and finished ranked #3 behind two teams that tied.

Oh, right If OU and Texas were no good, then no other teams could be good
In 94, Colorado was #3, they beat Miami, in Miami and KSU was ranked.
In 95 Colorado, KSU and KU all finished in the top 10 and they beat Florida 62-24 in the NC game. They beat everyone by at least 2 TDs. Easily one of, if not the GOAT.
What we really need to tap the breaks on is nonsense statements like this

Just looking a conferences as a whole and crediting teams with conferences accomplishments. A team from the SEC has won the last 6 BCS titles, so we say the SEC is the best conference and it is, but teams only play 8 of 12 from the conference. Look at Bama's schedule last year. They beat 3 FBS teams with a winning record. This year their schedule doesn't look so daunting since they will only play a max of 1 good SEC East team as opposed to USCe who would play UGA, UF LSU and Bama if they get to the SEC CG. We should look at teams and who they play and not just conference affiliations.

The #1 and #2 teams tied each other and Bama was #1 in the preseason, but fell to 3 in the 2nd poll. Mich State was #1 for a while, then ND was #1 for most of the season. I think the preseason poll came out in late August, but Bama did not play until Sept 24, not sure why they dropped, but they did. All 3 of those teams dominated their schedules, but if 1 and 2 play and tie, why should 3 move up? If one of them had won, then that team was have clearly been #1. Kinda of silly to punish them both. In any event, congrats, you can say you got hosed once, you still have several claimed NC's that are questionable. Well ahead of the game.

Let me guess, 1977?
Sorry, you didn't get shafted in 77 just because ND jumped you in the final poll. They killed #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl plus you both played USC, they beat them 30, you beat USC by 1.

No freaking shite. Teams 20 years ago would not dominate today because the game is so much different. Nebraska ran the triple option which isn't used much today because defenses have gotten much faster at LB and its relatively easy to stop with the right preparation. The 1992 Alabama defense was one of the nastiest, ball hawking, hard hitting, demoralizing defenses ever but today it wouldnt be as dominant because passing offenses are much more than they used to be. Spurrier changed the game when he came to Florida and gave Bama fits.
