We became a better running team in 07. We fell off in the passing game.
2007 we ranked 58th with 225 a game.
2006 we ranked 18th with 251 per.
We ran the ball well, and saw some improvement there.
We scored 5 more ppg in 2007, largely thanks to 2 high-scoring triple overtime losses to unranked teams.

we scored 30 points combined in those two games...08 didn't have a 3 and 10 point performance on their resume was the other factor

27 pts was the lowest output in regulation for any game Flynn started in '07 (only scored 21 vs Tenn (of which 7 were Zenon's pick-6) in the SECCG which RP played but we piled up 475 yds).
'06 had a lot of talent but we only score 3 vs Auburn and 10 vs UF. Seemed like Jimbo always laid an egg or two each season.
As much as everyone has come to despise Crowton I think he had a huge part in '07' success. He has a lot of shortcomings as an OC but he meshed well with the '07 team.
