Would Todd Monken be interested in coming back to LSU as Off Coord? And would it make a difference?

He is currently at OkSU btw.

The sooner you people realize that as long as les is head coach it doesn't fricking matter who has the title as "o.c."
Better off you will be.

if he's allowed to handle the offense without miles interfering then yes. i am the point though where i don't think anyone can fix our offense as miles will just end up dictating how it's ultimately run.

It's not about Les interfering, its that it is his playbook. He needs to allow a proven OC to come in and implement his own system and his own playbook.

not sure he'd come. seems someone mentioned that maybe he and Les weren't on the best of terms when he was passed over for Crowton. also, though I think Les woud give him autonomy for the most part, seems like he and Gundy's philosophies are more in line.

I think Les would like to throw the ball more than ppl give him credit for, but he clearly wants to run first. especially with an inexperienced QB. but he let Gundy sling it around with Josh Fields, same with Jimbo and Jamarcus, and Crowton to an extent with Flynn and Lee.

About 2007 - GC once said that the team that year knew Jimbo's playbook well and that he figured it best not to change anything. That team was full of players who spent their careers at LSU under Jimbo's tutelage.

Why would any great OC come here now, given the current conditions?

There's been times during Miles' tenure at LSU that the side of him I called "the puckered a-hole effect" comes out.

He goes ultra conservative and scared to death of turning the ball over, so he just runs straight at the other team, hoping that the d line will be worn down by the end of the game. Sometimes it works, other times not so much.

First time was 2nd half against Tenn in 05 and the SEC Champ game. In 2006 - the Auburn game. In 07 - MSU on the road, SEC Champ game with Perilloux. But it really took off after 2008.

If I was a highly thought of OC, I would run from LSU as long as Miles is here....

That was certainly the first half after the initial drive. Defense can't do it all alone- they got tired in the second half, which was to be expected.

They ran Jimbo's offense for a full 2 years without him and called plays similar to his???
