Thinking about getting a Remington .35 and wanted to get people's opinion. Positives? Negatives?
I know the Whelen is more powerful, but I heard the recoil isn't as bad with the Remington.
I've been hunting with a muzzle loader, but it's getting tiresome.

No comparison. .35 rem = moped. .35 whelen = Shelby cobra.

.35 rem is a great caliber. Great choice for a really light single shot rifle for someone who doesn't like punishing their shoulder. It's nowhere near the performer that the whelen is, but it's great deer round out to 200 yards. Past that it starts dropping off pretty hard.

Is the .35 Remington legal for use as a primitive weapon?
