quote:
“A corner coming off the edge is not our guy,” Hurst said. “The running back is supposed to check that guy. That’s something Zach and the running backs need to be on the same page with.”
quote:
“Last year, it was so much fun,” Simon said. “We came together in the locker room, clowning around on the field — still being serious, but also having fun. “This year is totally different. We’re not clowning around in the locker room or talking outside of practice. We don’t get together like we did last year. ... That’s been a big problem for us. We just need people to step up. The whole team needs to step up and lead each other.”

So you are just reading the paper from Tuesday morning.

That doesn't sound very good to me

Glad I bet on Florida.

Have a feeling honey badger was the focal point of that stuff last year.

Honey Badger is missed badly...

Need to shut down the "QB Locker" on the sidelines... Everyone on that team need to be encouraging their teammates...

I saw this too. I take it as they've identified some issues. Now they know what they need to do to set it straight.

I agree. I don't think there is a problem anymore. People act like this team has completely unraveled. Do you think the Chief and Miles would let that happen?

The WRs also need to recognize the corner blitz and communicate with Mett, making sure they are both on the same page. The pass pro problem is easy to correct IMO because it's basically missed assignments.
I think this is the game and point of the season where the team leaders step up.

It isn't the corners that have knocked the shite out of our QBs as often as the DEs

The football team needs to hook up with the Quidish team.

I'd rather they be businesslike, and finish what was started last year. This quote also flies in the face of a team playing with the amount of penalties committed.
Just freakin' win, but I've been drinking JD.

Ron Brooks was the key to our entire team last year.

I have a theory that at some point college football coaches make so much money that they don
't really care too much about victory.
Once they have obtained enough status, and according to their own personal situation (family is stable or the kids have graduated from a school or their portfolio has them set for this life, the afterlife and their great grandchildren's lives), it is just not that crucial to them that they win.
I think that Les is different in that regard. (I am sure Nick S. is.)
But, I am not encouraged by some of the things I have read as quotes from the players and, in fact, I don't think they should be saying some of these things to the press. If they are doing so with the permission of Les Miles, then it could be a sign of bad times ahead.
Or...he could just be an evil genius.

Optimistic, but I'm on your side here. Chemistry goes a long damn way.
