Is Driskel as good as they say he is?

I understand that most of the time players are not as good as the media makes them out to be, but do you guys believe what they are saying about Driskel? Is he really a "duel threat" mobile QB that LSU will have to focus on containing, or are they exaggerating a bit? It only concerns me because LSU had a little trouble containing Townson's QB... thoughts?

relies on his ground game and just tries to manage the game and not throw picks. Not great arm, enough mobility that if the pocket collapses he can get out and move a little, but he isn't a dual threat.
He;s only had 5 starts so he has never seen a defense as nasty as ours. If we stop UF's run game, we'll win.

He seems to be improving. I don't know who "they" are and what "they" are saying though. I haven't heard that much about him since he was in HS.

He's light years better than he was and seems to still be improving.

Yes we must contain him. He will tuck it and run in a heartbeat. M&M's are going to have to keep some discipline to keep him in the pocket. He has not been a big threat pocket passer.

They= the media in general. The media is focused on his improvements and I was just wondering if everyone else has seen this improvement.

I've watched their games. Stares down receivers and can move some. Agree that if we shut down the run we'll win

I attended the UF Kentucky game. I was not impressed. The Gator defense is pretty solid but everything else is average at best. even the defense appears to be weak against a run game. I think LSU will run a lot in this game.

so the consensus on this board is regardless of stats, schedule strength, or reality mett is elite and the best qbs in the sec are overrated? you all have watched mett plsy right? pot meet kettle, youre black. no one even mentions mett. you all built this guy up to the point where you have no choice but to stay blind to the obvious that he is a step down. he hasnt shown anyone anything to be scared off.
