The Cove Hawaiian Grill REVIEW

I searched and posted in the other thread, but apparently it is anchored for some reason...
Ate there today for lunch. I went with the beef platter.
The Good:
The beef was really good. The rice was fine, though I assume that it's hard to mess up.
The Not so Good:
I felt that the portions were a little small especially for the price (two small scoops of rice, one small scoop of macaroni salad, and a small helping of beef for $8). I know $8 is a cheap lunch, but I've gotten a lot more for the same price at other places.
The Bad:
The macaroni salad was one of the things that I was most excited to get. I ate my weight in it when I honeymooned in Kauai, but the macaroni salad here tasted like boiled pasta. That's it. And it wasn't even macaroni noodles...
Overall, I would say that it was a very "meh" experience. I will try it again just to make sure it wasn't an off-day though.

Probably anchored due to a generic title like yours...might want to edit and add "review" to your title.

I agree that it is generic, but the name of a restaurant usually means someone is asking how it is, or someone is saying how it was. But either way, it's been edited

How many different ways of serving Spam did they have on the menu?

Zero. I was surprised. But the bottom of their menu did say more items to come.

This is my experience as well. I am in no hurry to go back.

What? Spam is the most used meat in the islands because of the price of other meats. I think that personally I would be driven to suicide just for the shits and giggles if I lived there. I have done the island life and it isn't easy to do. If you like milk you better import a dairy cow when you move to one.

I didnt find the price of beef or chicken to be any different when I went to Maui for 2 weeks. I went grocery shopping and the prices were similar for meat, eggs, poultry, etc.
Howevere, things like cereal, ice cream, chips, cookies were outrageous

Ended up there today. They had spam sushi
I just got the bugogi fries. Interesting.
It was chips with their Hawaiian style beef (which was good) and shredded cheese and green onions.
Unless the rent is really cheap there, I don't see it being a "hit" restaurant in BR.
