My advice is contact TAF and inquire what is needed for you to move up the list enough to get the tickets you want. They have the ability to plug your account number into the computer and tell you exactly what you need to do to be where you want to be. Donations to projects carry weight, the $100 a year carries weight, even purchasing season tickets to minor sports moves you pretty rapidily up the rankings.

It really isn't as bad as everyone's saying.

I agree... I gave $100 per year for 5 years and got 4 side by side in the EU's. Of course, I'm not one of those snobs that need to sit in the bowl. I actually prefer the view from the Uppers.

ETA: To answer your actual questions... Once you are at the level you want to be at, you have to get on the Season Ticket wait list on lsutix.net. The cost is $10 to get on the waiting list.

Also, it's not 1pt per $1000, it's 2pts per $1000

And that's my bad - I keep repeating the old 1 point, but it is 2 points, because all TAF giving is philanthropic giving now.

I don't want to sit in the upper deck - how much do two seats in the lower bowl cost? What sort of TAF rank do I need to be offered said seats?

My suggestions would be to get what you can and then try to move to your ideal spot through the years. Nothing wrong with starting in the Uppers, at least you will be at the games.

This is a great suggestion. If you try to wait for good seats, you'll be waiting forever. Get what you can when offered then apply for move every year.

Until you are able to get them, you can always find someone selling their season tickets on Dandy Don, the Rant, etc. at face plus seat cost.

Buy on ebay or stubhub each year. It'll be cheaper for you.

gonna have to sit in the upper deck unless you throw a LOT more cash. Its probably cheaper to buy on ebay at the begining of the season.

Programs go in cycles. Let the football hit the skids for a couple of years and tickets will open up.

Let the economy finish tanking and a few tickets will open up when folks have to choose between food and utilities versus entertainment.
