yep....that is the difference right now, and why Lee was so efficient in the red zone. Hopefully mett can learn than when they stack the box, there should be hot read to get rid of the ball quickly.....gotta make those guys pay when they stack the box, which we will see often. I think everyone will agree that ZM throws a very pretty deep ball.....but there are a lot of intangibles he does not have yet to be able to throw that ball. Hopefully he will improve, as our season depends on that.
Very well said.

He(Lee) got rid of it very quickly, which is why he was sacked just four times in 13 games last season and rarely fumbled while Jefferson was sacked 14 times in 10 games and fumbled six times.

This says everything.

Are you really still bitching about last year? Get over it. New year, new team with national championship hopes again.

Les lost the NC game because he loved him some JJ! Lee should at least had a chance to move the team in the second half when it was obvious JJ SUCKED!

Agree wholeheartdely with this. Jeffereson should have been a Tim Tebow after his stunt.

Say what you want, Les caused the debacle. Ruined Jarrett Lee's confidence, and timing

hey, that's right, they do have the internet in Canada....hello JJ. You still making perfect reads and playing great over in Canada?

Just for the record, I'd take brains and mediocre arm, over a stronger arm and lack of brains...any day of the week.

This is slowly shifting to another JJ vs JL thread in the middle of the season. So I'll save us all time and get it out the way.

JJ was terrible, Lee was ok until he faced real defenes.

No one should ever want to be "half" as good as JL. (or JJ for that matter)

Agreed. I think Mett sets his expectations to low. I'm hoping for the best for him and the team, but I don't see him emerging as a leader up to this point.

But the Rantards say Les has turned this into a 3-loss LSU team

I think people adjusted their expectations based on the play we've seen so far. Right now we aren't a championship team by any stretch of the imagination. Part of the reason why (injuries) is beyond the ability of the coaches or players to do anything about. The other issues are fixable, but it needs to be done ASAP since we're getting into the toughest part of our schedule. If Miles can't figure out a way to fix the problems on offense, I can easily see this team losing 3 or 4 games.
