The Saints Don't Need Loomis...

... the Saints have a plethora of capable General Managers right here on this message board. How none of you guys got a job in the NFL yet is beyond me. I mean, it is obvious that we should trade away proven players and leaders from the squad so we can draft unproven college players.
The Saints will be fine. I think yesterday's heart-breaking loss was actually a step in the right direction. No one on the Saints team underestimated the impact Coach Payton has on this team, but I think so may have overestimated their ability to play without him. Brees & Charmichael will figure it out and so will Spags. If the Saints finish 12-4 or even 10-6, and get into the playoffs, I think this will be a team the rest of the NFC will fear.
It's a 16 game season, so there are still 3/4 of the season to be played out. Just give it time to gel...

It may be pure optimism that they go 12-4, but what are you going to do - route against them?
You may, but I sure as Hell am not.

How about you go back to bitching about your 5-0 team on the Rant?

No I am not going to "route" against them but to think we have a chance of winning the next 12 games is laughable. We have played 3 mediocre teams and one good team and are 0-4.
If we lose next game, I'm all for tanking the season.

I agree 100%. This was the best game we have played all year. Even if we had Payton, I would have bet on a 1 point loss.

Couldn't agree more.
