It sucked. And not just this game, notable games last year like kentucky and others have been sucky. Death valley is known for being loud.
If towson is at the 1 yard line in the south endzone about to take the lead against the tigers, make some goddamn noise!
Christ...fanbase getting a little more terrible every year. Sitting on their asses not contributing and complaining about mettenberger.

Hard to get fired up when you're watching two teams play at a 1-aa level.

Good god! What did you expect the noise level and atmosphere was going to be like last night?
Every game where LSU played such a shitty team, in such shitty weather, the stadium has been like it was last night. Add in how bad LSU looked, so yeah the place was going to be a graveyard.

So what. "LSU is playing Towson!" yeah, and we were losing to towson. wake the f up. If our defense is telling the crowd to make some noise repeatedly then help out. It's like a slap in the face to the D.

Can't see how you blast the 40,000 people that actually bothered to show up last night. Blast the administration for having this crap on the schedule.
As a fanbase, we tend to hate these crappy games and then complain that the players can't get jacked up for all 12 Saturdays. Obviously, they are suffering from the same "This opponent sucks" mentality that the fans have. Welcome to human nature.
We've been turned into a white collar crowd for just about every game except the best SEC opponents, and the administration is now taking away games from us that would draw (Oregon, TCU, etc.) and giving us Towson and, next year, Furman and UAB.
Just saying that things are never going to be the same. The team plays to the level of its opponent, and now, because of the administration's scheduling, TAF fees, and fans' general attitude to just staying at home and watching games on TV, the crowd does, too.

SOLUTION : Do not schedule 2nd rate teams like Towson....wasn't that simple !
Would MUCH rather see an in-state opponent for one of our OCC games !
LSU athletic dept. would rather take the "money-grab" jerry world games at the expense of having good to great BCS home/home arrangements...wonder how the B.R. "business community" did yesterday and how they feel about it ?

Did you stand in the rain for 3 hours waiting for the game to start? Yeah I didn't think so. Students bring the noise, students were miserable. There ya go.

Wasn't the scheduling of this game related to the last minute shuffling of the SEC schedule after the SEC added Mizzou and A&M?

When the game came back at halftime it looked like 3/4ths of the stadium was empty if not more. It was pretty sad. It was even a close game at that point.

Why would anybody do that? There was absolutely no point in doing that yesterday except to be able to tell people you did it.

Dumb arse students trying to start the wave when we were losing. I blame them

The stands looked half empty during the first quarter. It looked terrible on TV.

I'll call BS on that....LSU pulls this crap at least every other year....next year it's Furman....WHO ???
They keep going for the neutral money grab game at the expense of a decent home schedule.....in-state schools offer a much more palatable product vs. Towson,Furman et al
OOC "breathers are a FACT of life in the SEC, but for crying out loud whay can't we play home/away vs. a good BCS opponent EVERY year...screw the neutral site games !
