No one hates LSU like LSU fans.

Seeing how a bunch of "adults" act at the stadium and on here have made me realize football isn't all that important. It's entertainment people, not life. Many need to do some serious self evaluation if they get this wound up about LSU football.

Never been on campus, never been to a game. Bama has those same fans. I know several here on the Gulf Coast that have never stepped foot in Tuscaloosa, but are huge FACEBOOK fans.

Les has 1 loss in the last 19 games.

That's because we have a coach who's philosophy is to win sloppy. So LSU rarely ever looks like a well oiled machine and performs like it's capable of performing.

Meanwhile so many other fanbases get to watch their team do curbstompings on a regular basis.

...and LSU just raised fees again. Gonna cost more to go watch sloppy play now

The Wal Mart fans are the ones that just forget about LSU overnight and go on with their lives as though nothing ever happened. They treat pulling for LSU as sleeping with a fat girl. Pretend that no one saw me do it, and just move on to live another day.

Among the people who are freaking out right now are those of us who experienced the full product of LSU - from Charlie Mac on.

I'll admit that I'm only 38 so my earliest faint memories barely graced 1979. But make no mistake about it, I experienced LSU (sitting in Tiger Stadium with season tickets in my family my entire life) under Stovall, Arnsparger, Archer, Hallman, Dinardo, Saban, and now Miles. Now that I've qualified my LSU fan card, I think it's unfair to assume that we just hopped on the wagon all of a sudden. To be honest, I think it's the exact opposite. We know what it feels like to almost come close, to miss by a field goal, to look like world beaters and then lose players to injury only wishing what could/should have been, seeing prime recruits come in and get under utilized or piss their potential away due to off field bullshite. We have mastered that part of being an LSU fan to a fine art and frankly have very little tolerance to go back. It's a fear that exists in the back of many an older LSU's fan mind, having been down that road for 40 years, and then completely spoiled beyond our belief for a quick 10. So if we aren't stoic enough, please forgive us. Don't get me wrong, I fricking love being a fan/grad/Baton Rouge native/part of the whole package.

The more forgiving LSU fans missed all of that, therefore they have more in the tank to give in that category. The space that they have to give, a lot of us older more cynical fans already gave anywhere from 1959-2000.
