Christ this show has gone through so many resets i have forgotten half this shite.

So they directly wrote about an event 2-3 seasons ago in a different timeline with the intent that 3 years later they would use that as justification of a characters 180 and abandoning his wife and father?

Shows getting too convoluted for me.

It's hard to know what was done on purpose or not on purpose through each of the seasons to get us to this point. If they didn't have all of the resets, it would be tough to justify the last couple of seasons alone. I do miss Charlie though

He has abandoned his father multiple times.. and he hasn't always had the greatest track record with female relationships either..

also, yes: These writers have always said they wrote everything in this show, with the intent of connection. Everything has a purpose.

Everything builds on everything.. it's a very hard show to follow, I am very thankful it made it 5 seasons, it really shouldn't have, the show is almost too smart for it's own good. Probably would have been a bit better for 13 episode seasons to be honest with you.

ETA: I would actually say that Fringe should be J.J's poster child for why American Network TV should move some shows to a 13 episode season arcs, instead of the 22 episode seasons.

Yeah, after all is said and done, I plan on going back and marathon-watching Fringe in a month or so. I have a feeling it'll make more sense that way.

Lost sure as hell did, and was possibly more awesome for me the second time around.
