None of you are correct. The .gif is Spike and Chester, of Looney Tunes fame:
Spike and Tyke are from Tom and Jerry, and are father and son:
Now, onto the episode. I liked it, even though it wasn't a fantastic episode.
I do agree with Kashonly about some things...the "secret death potion" thing seemed completely unnecessary in their plan. Definitely could've saved that for more important times (in theory, it was useful, but the way their plan played out, it wasn't really needed at all). Also, I agree that the whole tone of the characters has changed. They don't feel like the same people we all know IMO...I understand that they are "growing" as characters, but sometimes it feels like so much has changed that it is a completely different show now.
And that's not a terrible thing, because I like it now. But I can easily see why it would annoy some people though.
I feel like not a lot happened (aside from them finding Olivia, but that was done in about ten mintues). I did, however, love the ending with Walter in the cab. I'm sure it has some sort of deep meaning and all that, but I just liked the simplicity of it...Walter sitting in a cab in his underwear and finally being able to listen to music.
Also, I had never heard that song before, but I liked it. I agree with whoever it was that said that Fringe should take a note from Lost's playbook and focus more on fitting music sometimes. It's incredible how much a song can enhance a scene. Scrubs was also great at that.

That would honestly be my only thing I could see as legitimate for questioning.. but it's not like there is actually going to be a real "war".. cause they would just get wiped out by the Observers, ultimately it's going to come down to whatever machine is in Walter's head, and whatever the hell September has been doing for 4 seasons..
