We have a real hard time finding tv shows to watch. We don't watch a lot of tv, maybe 2 hrs a week but we currently have nothing to watch outside one episode of black mirror left.

I do have some requirements....
- must be HD, I ain't watching no SD stuff
- I would prefer to have at least 2 seasons under the belt
- Prefer dramas to sitcoms.

Shows we have loved: The Wire, BattleStar galatica, sopranos, 6 ft under, frisky dingo, arrested development, twin peaks, xfiles, sherlock, the office (UK), downton abbey (although I will not watch season 3), jericho, veep

Shows we have stopped watching together for one reason or another: breaking bad (wife hated it, I still watch; true blood (reverse); treme (wife got emotional over katrina); deadwood (wife thought it was too cruel to woman); the killing (boring); newsroom (cheesy liberal crap); boardwalk (wife didn't like it); archer (wife thought it wasnt as funny as frisky dingo)

I am probably forgetting a show or two we stopped. As you can tell its, the wife that is picky about tv.

Any suggestions?

Before mad men comes in here, I have seen a few episodes and thought meh. The wife has never watched it. I also refuse to watch glee.

The wife gave up on this too. Notice the trend?

several people have suggested this in other forums, but it didn't peak my interest.

I will check out supernatural

We don't seem to enjoy the same taste in tv, thanks for your suggestions though.

You won't be disappointed.

First 5 seasons are comparable to 24 First 5 IMO.

we mutually gave that one up, the dialog was just horrific in season 2.

I know you kinda ruled out sitcoms but

rules of engagement is pretty funny. Especially from a married guy's pov.

same with mike and molly.if you can get past the fact that they're both fat.

WTF is frisky dingo?

My hubby and I watch a bunch of the stuff y'all quit watching...Breaking Bad (LOVE IT), True Blood (the books are WAY better, but I'm still hanging in there), Boardwalk Empire (I find some of them boring, but I'm still watching), I loved Deadwood & hated when they stopped making it.

We currently watch Hell on Wheels - have you tried that one? If you're a sci-fi fan, what about Warehouse 13? I don't like that sort of thing, but my husband likes it. We also really like Spartacus, but I'm not real sure your wife would dig that one either. I've got the new Vegas to record tonight, guess we'll see about that one.

And I'd rather be beat in the head with a stick than to watch Glee...
