How does this happen with a 6th year senior?!

Maybe because he was a guard for 5 years.

Same way it happens in the pro's.
Pass Pro is extremely difficult, especially for someone moving from the inside blocking DT's, to the outside blocking quicker DE's.

Reading a little further down about the fumble on goalline I knew i seen Copeland fall on the fumble. Damn replacement ref's.

Then perhaps he should be put back at guard and replaced by Collins at tackle

so 6th year seniors should be perfect?
There is a reason 6th year seniors didnt leave for the NFL after 3 years.

I'm not saying JD should be starting or trying to give excuses for his poor performance, but he is moving from guard to tackle after missing a year of football.

Have to agree with you on this one.

He said he used poor technique on the cut block and should have waited a bit longer.
How do 28 year old tackles give up sacks to Demarcus Ware? You'd think they would have their technique down by then!?

there is a big time difference from playing guard to tackle.

You know, the other teams have guys on scholarship too. Usually, they are D-1 talent. Sometimes, as in the case of Lemonier, they have NFL potential.
It's a hard concept, but sometimes the guy across from you is just better than you.
