ATV Help - Honda Backign Plate stuck

2005 Honda Foreman 500 - Need to replace the rear axle bearings located inside the Rear Drum Brake Backing Plate. From my experience on other quads, after the drum is off, and the 4 nuts removed from the axle flange, the backing plate should slide right off, but this thing is stuck like the bearing ID is welded to the axle.
Any tricks / tips to get this sucker off?
