Keep in mind, our 2nd round pick is forfeited due to the BS bountygate scandal.

These rankings are from CBS Sports. The players listed are included in the 1 or 1-2 projected round range.

I'm not including listings for center, fullback, kicker, long snapper, guard (since we have Evans and Grubbs), punter, quarterback, runningback, tight end, and wide receiver.

We definitely need a mauler at OT, a space eater at DT, a run stopper at LB, and a shutdown corner in the upcoming draft

I'm honestly undecided. There's a few players who who might grow and excel under Spags, eliminating the need for some of these positions, most notably IMO DE.

I pray we don't draft at 2 or 3 but if we do, it will be very hard to pass up Mingo or Jones at one of those spots if they're still there.

Yes I can see the argument there, but we wont be close to the top 5.

I say if we pick in the top 5

Maybe trade back and get Montgomery and then pick up Fluker in the second round.

Maybe Jarvis Jones but I don't know If he can play 4-3 DE

should definitely add WR to that list...I honestly trust spags in evaluating guys to fit his system. I really think OT and WR are the most glaring needs. You're not going to change the defense overnight and in our case, not going 3 and out, having more quality drives is far away an easier fix than a complete retooling of the defense. It could take 2-3 years to completely upgrade a defense and with an aging Brees we don't really have that luxury. Let's get the offensive firepower we need to be dominant again and let spags bring the defense around as much as he can.

In no way, shape or form do I want Mingo or Montgomery. I just see Mingo getting completely swallowed up by NFL OTs

There is some elite pass rushers this year compared to last year so the saints better be smart and draft one maybe 2
