Don't bother. Coaches can't figure where to put shep at.

Wrong there isnt many players like these DEs

Even better. If you know how to stop the Hulk, but you are fighting Bucky it should be pretty easy.

This may be, but how do we know that he isnt a threat downfield?

I may be just crazy to assume this, but I will say we know he is a not a downfield threat because HE IS NOT A WR.

This was started as a joke, trying to make light of a situation. (however i wouldn't be mad if they gave it a go) But there is a big difference with a fast 6' 185lbs guy with a known case of the drops, and a guy with good speed that is 6'4" 208lbs that has no other place on this team. Shep is a breakaway player that really has some amazing potential to do great things. But i would rather go to war with a 9mm glock that will fire everytime even if it won't make a big splash, rather then a case of hand-grenades from the '40s that 9/10 are duds.

I know it's a joke but the more I think about it, the more I say try it.

Dude is 6'4 210, probably runs a 4.5-4.6, can't qb worth a shite , only has 2 years to play; so why not throw him a pass? What'll it hurt? He's the backup's backup

We can use him inside the redzone for some jump ball passes or fade routes,

Allow me to rebute:
quote:

Antwaan Randle El

Randle El broke the NCAA freshman total-offense record with 467 yards in his first collegiate game and finished the season with 1,745 yards passing and 873 yards rushing. He wound up fifth on the all-time NCAA total-yardage list with 7,469 passing yards and 3,895 rushing yards.

His all-around ability prompted the Steelers to draft him in the second round in 2002 but also led them to turn him into a receiver and returner. That decision paid dividends. In five years with the Steelers and four with the Redskins, Randle El returned 311 punts and 79 kicks and caught 370 passes for 4,467 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He'd be better off in a wildcat offense.

I have slowly convinced myself also.

Worst come to worst he drops a pass, god forbid that happens this year, or he gets hurt and is out for the season. He isn't even the backup's backup. I believe that if Rivers went down, we would see Randall in and all we would do is run, run, run
