So what would Mike do, if someone jumped in his cage?

Ok, it would be a lot harder for someone to get into Mike's cage than the Bronx Zoo. But how do you think Mike would react? And how fast could his handlers get the idiot out, and what shape would he be in?

if someone jumped into mikes cage regardless of the outcome, LSU would be buried in lawsuits demanding mike be removed for safety of the students

I've seen this done by putting a small pig or lamg into a Lions' cage and the Lion just kind of lets it be, or even kind of plays with it, until it gets ready for a meal, and then it's all over with.

I always have wondered what would happen if you dropped a house cat in there. Would they get along and do cat things?

I don't agree here. The cage was designed as much to keep people out as much as Mike in. You'd have to go to great lengths to get in there.

Probably just lick him and then roll over like a normal cat. Unless he provoked him he might not get torn to shreds and end up as dinner.

This actually happened once and I'm going on memory from 30+ years ago. A Muslim student entered the cage during a protest and security called the guy who managed Mike's cage.
Security: There is a student in Mike's cage.
Manager: Ah, so he is dead.
Sec: No, he's alive.
Manager: That's not possible, Mike is not tame.
Sec: Well, he's not in the inner cage, he's in the in between cage where Mike can't get him.
Manager: OK, I'll be right there.
Security: There is a student in Mike's cage.
Manager: Ah, so he is dead.
Sec: No, he's alive.

There you go another potential Darwin award winner thwarted by the authorities. Well judging from past ancient history when the christians were placed in the cage(den) with the lions (tigers) they didn't fare too well, but wait this guy was a Muslim so maybe he wouldn't taste as good. I can think of some Muslims in GITMO i would like to give mike a shot at.
