Is that the guy who was coach after dinardo and before Sabah? Recruited Jamarcus if I'm not mistaken.

People hate Nick Saban, but love Paul... even though he jilted us first. Something to be said for forgiveness (as long as it's out of conference) I suppose.

but he went to west point didn't he? believe it or not, LSU and west point had a super relationship back in the day. it was not unusual for us to consult with them before selecting football coaches.

Went to WP then to USCe.
Odd parallels between that coaching pair and those of modern days.
We had a good coach who left and was replaced by an equally talented coach who stayed... eerie.

Does anyone know (not asking idiots) why Paul Dietzel left LSU for Pittsburgh? Was it greed or was it because he was underappreciated?
