Just mentioned getting a group together and going to my wife. She said as long as I get her back to the hotel so she can relax while we go to the game

The OU game was so much fun. One of the most fun LSU games Ive ever been too. Watching LSU fans throw bread crumbs to Duck fans was a scream. I guess they will throw condoms at the Horny Toads.

People are complaining about this game?? Not me.
1) No competing games gives LSU a huge national audience.
2) It certainly doesn't hurt LSU's chances to recruit in Texas, particularly in the Dallas area which has some big-time high schools.
I just don't see many downsides.

LSU to play TCU in Cowboys Classic 2013
Guess we better hope TCU kicks arse in their inaugural Big XII season! Would be nice if they are ranked coming into the game.

college game day will be there.
Won't that depend on who is playing in the Chick-Fil-A classic and any other week 1 games? I haven't seen the national schedule for next year, but there might be a higher profile game than this that day.

I guess I will have to go market up some clients in Dallas next year!!

The value of an LSU home game is in the millions to BR area businesses. The impact is, in fact, felt all the way to NOLA
No doubt about that. Based on what I saw in New Orleans last Thursday and Friday, they made a good chunk of money off of UW fans.

Before anyone and everyone jumps down my throat, I'm all for these types of games. For several reasons, not least being the money LSU makes. It's also huge for recruiting.
The people making these decisions have a whole lot more info than we do on what the financial implications are. All we can do is assume that it will all net out to more money or they wouldn't be doing it.

There's always two sides to a coin though.
Yes, there may be a downside to BR businesses and an upside to LSU, but even that we don't really know for sure until we find out what other scheduling moves will be made as a result of this.

Alabama and Virginia Tech play in Atlanta to open next season.

For those who went to the A&M and Oregon games at Cowboys Stadium, it was the most fun I've had in years for an LSU game
I was there and loved it. I had a blast. The only thing I didn't care for was the heat. It was sooooooo hot but other than that. No complaints.
We walked into the walmart near Ranger field or whatever it's called (i don't follow mlb) and the entire place was doing the "Geaux Tigers" chant. This side of Walmart was saying "Geaux" and that side way over there answered, "Tigers." It was awesome.
The deli ran out of all the fried chicken at 9 am. No more chicken for the rest of the day. When we checked out, they were bringing out the 14th pallet of ice. They just dropped it on the floor, didn't even bother tossing the bags of ice into the machine. The cashier said she was there for the Cotton Bowl and this was wayyyyy more intense. She said she's never seen this.
Edit for typo.

This.
I don't know the exact math but LSU makes a good chunk of change off this game...let alone the great recruiting tool is in Texas. I think it's stupid to turn down an offer such as this.

We had breakfast at Humperdinks Sunday morning after their game. Our waitress told us that humperdinks had never seen anything like the business they had experienced for the LSU game. She said the cotton bowls and cowboy games came no where close.

As it stands, we'll now only play UAB and Furman in home OOC games next season
Following the powerhouse thrillers against Towson and the Vandals this year. We are like a popular bar that keeps booking crappier and crappier bands, saving more and more money, until they notice people quit coming and figure they've milked it all they can. Our schedule sux.
